DAILY BIBLE READING CORNER Look What The Lord Has Done! What your about to read was written by Jessanelle, my granddaughter who is 10 years old. I need to give you a little background so that you can understand where she was coming from in her writing. It was New Year’s Eve night when Jess wrote this testimony. She presented it to me after the service. I tell you Jess now knows God for herself. No one can come and separate her from Him. Some years ago her mother and my son got a divorce. I believe when a child comes from a broken home that the child can become angry, become labeled as a problem child in school, disrespectful, fighting others, choosing bad influences to associate with as well as resent you as the parent. Sometimes they will go as far as to blame you for the divorce. Thank God, God gave Jessanelle to me as my granddaughter because I began to pray. I believed then and still believe that God hears me when I pray just as He heard and still hears Jesus concerning us. When there’s a divorce each partner blames the other for the break up, but as an outsider, someone looking in all I saw was two people using WORDS and ACTIONS that hurt and destroy. My son and Jess’s mother couldn’t be in the same room with each other without tension arising. BUT TODAY after so many years! Let me say it again, BUT TODAY after some many years! I want to inform you that they are on speaking terms and are able to be around each other. ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD’S LOVE! His Love makes a difference WHEN we allow Him to do so! Our Heavenly Father just wants you and I to know that THERE IS NOTHING, NO THING TOO HARD, TOO IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO INTERVENE IN! Remember . . . EVERYTHING WE DO AFFECTS SOMEONE ELSE OR AFFECTS THE DECISIONS THEY ARE ABOUT TO MAKE OR HAVE ALREADY MADE. Here’s what Jessanelle wrote . . . God is a healer He helps people get back on their feet. God even helped me with my life. God just did it, helped me. He also changed me. God changed me by changing my attitude, my character, and my heart. God changed my attitude because I was a very mean person. I really didn’t like that person so one day I prayed. I woke up that next morning I was a kind loving person and I felt good. God changed my character because I was hanging out with the wrong people and I was wearing short clothes. Now I’m hanging out with the right people and wearing clothes I’m suppose to be wearing. Last but not least, God has changed my heart because my heart was very sad and hopeless. I ran into my room and prayed until I couldn’t pray anymore. Now my heart is happy and joyful.
