DAILY BIBLE READING Wed. 4/9/2013 The Righteous Seem To Go Unrewarded Mal. 3:13-15 Sometimes the righteous person expects some things from God, but the answers appear to be delayed. He has prayed and fasted. He paid his tithes and had been generous in offerings. Yet it appears his prayers go unnoticed. Instead, he sees those who are less committed to God appear to be more blessed. There is the temptation to murmur against God and to feel discouraged. The people who understand that God is just and who fear Him will, under such circumstance, speak to one another. They will re-assure one another of the goodness of God, of His never failing love, of being a covenant– keeping God and that all His ways are just. The names of these people are written in a book of remembrance before God. Hoping your own name is there. Point of Emphasis: Those who know God is just do not get discouraged; they trust Him to the end. Prayer Point: Give me a clear understanding of your ways that I may fear You as I ought to.
