DAILY DIGEST Psalms 2:7 (I will declare the decree: the Lord hath saith unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee) Here is a prophecy concerning the begotten of the Father. Christ was the only begotten of the Father. But by the virtue of His death, resurrection and our faith in Him, we were also adopted as sons (Teknon). Hence, Christ ceased from being the only begotten of the Father and became the First begotten of the Father. We also became the begotten of the Father and Christ is our eldest Brother. Why the call of the begotten in this verse? It is Gods call to remind the heathen and also to make us remember that we are the children of the Most High. We have a Father who is ready to defend His own if need be. We have a Father who watches over us day and night. He is my God, whom shall I fear? He is my Father, of whom shall I be afraid? Fear not, for your Maker watches over you. Even if the enemies come like a flood, He will raise a standard against them. Fear not, God is with us.......Amen....
