DAILY INSIGHT 17:01:2015 PROVERB 20:1-30 Solomon in Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 said TO every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Hmmm! What a good wise saying; we shall be looking at verse number 29 of our text today. The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head. Study for the Day: The younger ones wanted to grow elderly thereby painting their head to have gray hairs. The elderly want to maintain their youthfulness thereby dying their gray hairs in black. What an irony? You are the perfect image of your thoughts and actions. Little wonder the Bible said in proverb 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Your age is directly proportional to your strength and the Bible confirmed this in Deuteronomy 33:25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. Therefore, to live a fulfilled and acceptable life before God we need to appreciate everything he does to us each day. We need to appreciate our past, present and future and give God the glory because only the living and the healthy do complain bitterly about their situation. If you are young, thank God and bless his holy name for the strength he gives to you each morning. If you are one of the senior citizens, magnify the Lord for the beauty and the privilege of growing gray hairs many had died from the womb. This year lets be appreciative of every benefit of the Lord toward us as pictured by David in psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Stop worrying, it cannot help you out of your present situation, it will only compound the problem. Learn to be grateful to God so that you will not become a great fool to yourself. Being alive is not your birthright but the resultant effect of Gods Riches At Christs Expense - GRACE. Will you be ever grateful to God going forward? Pray with me Give me grace to be grateful oh Lord, each moment of my days for all your benefits toward me in Jesus name. Refine my heart by your word to cease from strive and implant the fear of the Lord in me to walk in the integrity of my heart each moment of my life in the name of Jesus. Open my eyes of understanding to see the beauty of your word and give me wisdom to keep your statutes and commandments in Jesus name. Make me a positive and godly epistle to my generation and let my life point others to Christ in Jesus name. Let me live a contentment life all the days of my appointed time in the name of Jesus. As I set out this day, go ahead of me and fight all my battles and give me joy, gladness and victory on every side in Jesus mighty name; Amen.
