DAILY INSIGHT 30:10:2014 PSALM 94:1-23 If you spare the rod then you will spoil the child. Just as loving parent disciplined their children and wards so do God chastises his own. We shall be looking at the effect of discipline and training in the lives of the children of men and verse number 12 of our text shall be anchor scripture. Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law; Lesson for the Day:Rebuke of The Lord refines and prunes a man in order to bear more fruits toward becoming prosperous in life. When God chastises you be glad; several innumerable do not have that opportunity. Apostle Paul in Hebrews 12:11 said Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Dont be caught unaware God knows all things but he chooses to overlook some of our over bearing attitude because hes plenteous in mercy. Letting his love go unfulfilled in ones life shows ingratitude of highest order, therefore choose to obey him in all your ways. Verse number 11 of our text showed the vanity of our thoughts being X-rayed by God. Never have a thought that what you are doing is hidden from God. Verses 9 & 10 of our text says He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know? Let us have a change of heart and come closer to God and do good. We shall give our stewardship to him whether we like it or not at a day he appointed for himself. Is your stewardship account ready? Pray with me: Father corrects and rebukes me each moment of my life so that I will be profitable unto you and my generation in the name of Jesus. Avenge me of my enemies and let their evil consume them in the name of Jesus. Lord do not let the wicked prevail over me in all spheres of my life in the name of Jesus. Give unto me supernatural strength to overcome evil with good in the name of Jesus. Lord makes me a beautiful instrument for you and help me to bring down hope, life and joy unto others in the mighty name of Jesus. Teach me your ways oh Lord and guard my heart with your word to flee from pursuing vanity of this life in the name of Jesus. Father please do not cast off from your presence and neither forsake me not in your inheritance in the name of Jesus. Reverse evil decree and judgment and give unto me peace eternal in the name of Jesus. As I set out, reorder my steps into abundance and surround my life with mercy and blessings that cannot be acquired by silver and gold in Jesus mighty name; Amen.
