DAILY INSPIRATION HOPE IN HOPLESSNESS See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 (NIV) The least place you expect hope is where God promises hope. Deserts are consistent with dryness, death, despair and even surrender. This is the very place that God is promising water streams. We all go through desert moments in life, time when our faith gets tested, where our dreams face challenges, where we often get to wonder whether there is a tomorrow. You might have gone through this, or going through this. Maybe your marriage is on the rocks, and your family is on the brink of collapse. It might be your business, creditors are all over you, and a possibility of winding up is looming. It is difficult to see light at the end of the tunnel, but you have to take the risk of believing God that he will fulfill His promises, and that He will make a way in the wilderness. Corrie Ten Boom is a well respected figure in Christianity for her work of saving Jews from Hitler. She was however arrested and sent to the concentration camps where she was supposed to be executed. A week before her scheduled date of execution in the gas chambers, she was released from prison. It was later on realised that she had been released through a typographical error, and all the people who had remained detained had been gassed to death. She shares some interesting thought on faith, “Faith is believing in the dark, what God said in light”. It might be darkness now, but light is coming, a new season is coming. Hold on; do not give up on the faith. Affirmation I choose to believe God even in the most difficult moments, I choose to hold on to His promises. He will make a way for me.
