DAILY PRAYER: I AM BORED & LACK PURPOSE Creator God, I want more in my life right now. I confess that I have fallen into a state of boredom~and maybe a little apathy about life. I dont feel like I have a purpose. I know its not just about discovering what I want to do~but discovering what You want me to do! Help me to move beyond self-sufficiency, self-indulgence, self-gratifaction to serving You. There are so many needs all around me~the fields are ripe for harvest; and I just need to open my eyes, to see the many ways I can go above & beyond the normal, & living life to the fullest. Forgive me for my complacency & self-centeredness. Give me a new vision, to see the world as You do. Whether it is being a better spouse, parent, family member, friend~or tutoring, or counseling, or building homes, or serving in a soup kitchen. I pray that I will receive Your power & energy, to get out there & make a difference. Most of all, I want Your Spirit at work within me, teaching me what matters in life; & then doing something about it. I now know that focusing only on myself, isnt the path to fulfillment & happiness. It is in serving You & others, that my life takes on meaning. Thank You for giving me a purpose, that is greater than myself. In Jesus marvelous name, I pray. Amen.
