DAILY READING - SATURDAY John 4:46-54 53 Then the father realized that that was the very time Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and his entire household believed in Jesus. Knowing the exact time the fever left his son was an extra affirmation that what Jesus said he would do, he did do. He had healed the man’s son. This is surely someone worth investing all our trust in! What does it take in our ultra-modern lives that are filled with so many distractions, not to mention a wealth of conflicting attitudes surrounding the fundamental nature of what truth is, to be inspired to take up our cross daily and follow Jesus? There must have been quite an air of excitement, and not a little amazement too, around the man’s home. This act of healing the man’s sick son, we are told, brought the entire household to faith in Jesus Christ.
