DAILY READINGS - SUNDAY John 9 vv 35-41 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he had found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man” “Who is he, Sir?” the man asked, “Tell me so that I might believe in him” Jesus said, “You have seen him. He is the one speaking to you now” Jesus had obviously heard all the furore surrounding his healing of the man and he seeks him out. We often wonder if God is aware of the suffering of his people. We often hear the cry. “Where is God in all this?” This verse surely reassures us that God is very much aware of what is going on in his world and we can stand on his faithful promises to come along side us with his comfort and strength. Consider - Up until now the man only knew Jesus as a ‘godly man’ who had cured him of his blindness, but when Jesus revealed his true identity, his eager response opened his spiritual eyes to the truth of who Jesus was. When you make Jesus Lord of your life you begin to see him differently. And the difference he makes in your life is like walking out of darkness into light. Father, help us never to take for granted the awesome privileges we have in Jesus.
