DAILY VITAMIN Just as you know, most times in life God would always put you up to the test; and one major test is your trust and patience in Him: Your contentment in Him. With many of us, God is going to set up a meeting date, and purposefully Hes going to show up late just so that He could see what we are really capable of doing when it seems as though Hes absent or not coming any sooner. Saul had the same issue. In 1 Samuel 13:8-14, a meeting was set up between him and God through the person of Samuel the seer, but Samuel never showed up. In an attempt to preserve his ego, Saul carried out the levitical and priestly duties that were forbidden for him to do. At a period when it seemed God wasnt around anymore, he decided to take Gods place. The same thing happened with the servant in Jesus parable, who in the absence of his Master saturated himself with wickedness. In plain words, your alone time is a testing period. That moment when the atmosphere feels as though God understands! or Hes giving you the helm is when you should be the more careful, for its in such periods that many of us seek to speak even when He hasnt spoken; the same period where we seek to act when He hasnt bidded action. The content man would wait for God no matter how long, because his satisfaction is in God, but the discontented would always seek an Endorian to show him his freelance status. So, even as the year closes up, God is going to be testing a whole lot of us; it would only be wise if we as Ezekiel can humble ourselves, saying Thou knowest, Lord whenever we find ourselves in a dilemma, rather than going the Samsons way saying I will. Make this period one where your actions would be guided by the words of God, not fleshy instincts nor detestable egoes; for if we must scale through this calendar with God beside us, then we must be willing to wait for Him no matter how long it takes: and my friend, waiting is only spurred through contentment.
