DAILY WALK January 6, 2015 A LOVE PROFOUND Did you ever think that Jesus loves you so much that He would have gone to the Cross for you if you were the only one who ever lived in this world? It is a very profound thought when you think about it. The only thing He ever asked in return is that you love God will your whole heart and that you love your neighbor as you love yourself. The result of this awesome and profound love is eternal salvation. It is a message too simple not to understand and too important to reject. Acts 16:31 says “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” (NIV) It has been my observation that those who reject Jesus and His love do it of their own free will. They don’t believe because they won’t believe. There are many reasons that people might reject Him, but it is never by accident. Jesus said Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” (John5:24NIV) It is that simple and we need to make it that simple for non-believers. It is not about joining a church or giving up our bad habits. It is about simply trusting Jesus. I heard an evangelist once say, “When you are fishing for souls, you catch them and let the Holy Spirit clean them. God accepts us where we are at when we first reach out to Him. I cannot think of any greater love than to die a horrible painful death to save someone who doesn’t even know your or like you. Yet, He loved you and me that much. Can you and I love anyone less? People who don’t know Christ or reject him are already lost, so why would we be so foolish as to judge anything they do? When they become aware of our judgment they naturally reject us and the God we claim to serve. The world is lost in darkness and is without joy because people don’t know the love of Christ. You and I who know His love and have received His forgiveness and gift of eternal life, must allow the Joy of Jesus to shine through us. You and I may be the only Bible a lost person ever reads. Let His love empower you and give you life. When God looks at you it makes His heart sing. Zephaniah 3:17 says God takes great delight in you and rejoices over you with singing. Know what?
