DALTON If you want a dog with a bit of character, might I suggest Dalton? This gorgeous big boy has been at the refuge for five years and it is more than time he found a home. Worse still, he is only six years old and has now spent most of his life in an enclosure. He arrived in August 2009 and has spent his time in an enclosure towards the back of the refuge. So why has Dalton not found a home? Sadly he is a bigger boy (60 cm at the withers) and griffons are not always popular with French adopting families which is a shame. He is finding it hard to shake off his hunt dog image and be seen as a dog with a need for a comfy bed by the fire. Dalton is a deliciously happy boy with lots of character, and if the adoption of fellow long-timer Magic is anything to by, he will reward you many times over for taking a chance on him. Like Dalton, Magic was a big hairy cross-breed male who went to a home with four teenage girls who absolutely adore him and is now having the time of his life after having spent 5 years in the refuge himself. Dalton is too young to have spent so long at the refuge and he is such an interesting dog. He will make an ideal companion for anyone who wants a lively talking point with plenty of energy and a lot of soul. Older children only please, though he will appreciate a big family.
