DAMAULI, AUG 21 - Teachers and parents are worried after the girl students at the Janajukta Shahi Higher Secondary School at Sangey Nepaltar, Byas-6 here started falling unconscious all of a sudden. It is said that this has been happening at the school since the last three months and has shown no signs of stopping. This kind of symptom has been repeatedly seen in as many as 11 girl students. On Tuesday, 13 girls fainted all of a sudden in the classroom, the school stated. The girl students complain of headache and nausea before falling unconscious, it is learnt. A team of physicians from the District Health Office and the National Apollo Hospital examined these girls on August 12 and treated them. The medical team also gave psycho-social counseling to the girls and held interaction with the teachers and parents. The medical team said it was a case of mass hysteria. RSS
