DAMODAR KUNDA ADVENTURE TREKS 19 DAYS: Damodar kunda is one of the famous and important pilgrimages of Hindu religion. It is located in Mustang district from the 5400m above the sea level. It is lies on the a rain shadows area of Himalaya north to the Annapurna ranges of upper Mustang in between Kagbeni and upper Mustang. The place freezing cold but its scenery and surrounding location is awesome. According to hindu religious book Barah Puran; Lord Krishna said that those who visits the this kund and takes deep bath, they will get freed from all the sin. It is also quoted that in Puran two son’s of Kuber were suffering from their sin, and lord Krishna suggested them to take bath in this kund as lord Krishna’s suggestion they took bath then they released from all their sin. Apart from its religious value the place is also like view point, from where we can view amzing sceneries of Tibetan plateau & Damodar Himal to the north and the massive Annapurna Himalayas to the south. There are 65 peaks in this Himal range including Damodar Himal, Muktinath Himal (6,706m), and Bhrikuti Peak (6,364m). This area is usually open for visitors from April to September but the best time to visit this area is during the full moon of August every year, when you can see and enjoy a big festival. Many Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims will also be there to celebrate the full moon. Our trek begins from after landing of flight on Jomsome airport and hike upto Kagbeni then after via Chaile, Ghami to Yara and you will reach on Damodarkund(5400m) which is the highest altitude of entire trek.After doing holly pray and bath in kund we will back through Muktinath then to Jomsome then finally fly back Pokhara. Outline Itinerary • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. • Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing . • Day 03: Kathmandu - drive- Pokhara. • Day 04: Pokhara-fly Jomsome-Trek-Kagbeni. • Day 05: Kagbeni –Chaile (3000m) begins restricted area of Upper Mustang. • Day 06: Chile -Ghami(3490m). • Day 07: Ghami -Yara(4000m). • Day 08: Rest day in Yara. • Day 09: Yara - Thanti. • Day 10: Thanti to Damodar Kund (5400m.). • Day 11: Damodhar Kund to Yara . • Day 12: Yara to Charang. (3620m.). • Day 13: Charang to Syangmoche. (3770m.). • Day 14: Syangmoche to Chuksang. • Day 15: Chuksang to Muktinath.. • Day 16: Muktinath to Jomsom. • Day 17: Jomsom to Pokhara. • Day 18: Pokhara-Drive-Kathmandu. • Day 19: Transfer to airport and depart from Kathmandu
