DAMOS back to coincide with the return of Moonee Valley, and theres plenty of value in his tips this week! What are your best bets tomorrow? R1 #9 KUAIMA – Saw this horse win by two lengths on Mornington Cup Day in a brilliant win with Damien Oliver on board. That was a benchmark 70 carrying 59kg. This is obviously against stronger company in a benchmark 90, but with just 52kg including Harry Coffey’s claim, he has to be right in this. He won last start at Sandown, but rail in the true at the Valley should be ideal. $7 good value. R2 #1 TOOTHLESS – Brained them in a trial for new trainer Nikki Burke, running quicker time that the 3yos at Cranbourne. She’s got this boy set for a first-up tilt, so he’s deserved favourite here. A lot of first starters, probably like #3 CLUB STAR as the pick of them. R3 #10 KIWI DRAGON – Happy to give this boy a go at huge odds. Had no right to come from last and win last start, and they weren’t going that helter skelter up front. Chris Symons stays on board, drawn barrier 4 and the extra 200m suits. For a horse with just 7 starts, this boy looks like he knows what he’s doing. Worth the crack at $31s and $6.50 R4 #3 BET YOU SHE ROCKS – Extremely well weighted, as the third-top weight with 52.5kg including Jye McNeil claim. Barrier 2, last start winner. Before that, a second to Galileo Gold, six lengths clear of third, and before that a win also. Great strike rate, good odds at $6. R5 #9 NADEEM LASS – Tough race this one, but Nadeem Lass won one of her two career starts this time last year when she raced at the Valley. It was an eye catching run, splitting between runners to get there. Her other run at the Valley was a third placing, so she loves the track. Jye McNeil with another claim here, gives her just 52kg. Drawn nicely, each way odds at $10. R6 #7 BEC SAID NO CREDIT – 2kg claim with Harry Coffey, drawn wide so will probably sit midfield. Has run the distance twice for a third and a win at her last two starts. Never won at the track from two starts which is a little concern but Darren Weir is an astute trainer so he’ll have ready to rock and roll. R7 #10 SO DOES HE – Drawn ok, but maps even better. Should run midfield, has turn of foot to put himself in the mix and to pull clear last start with 59kg shows this Bel Espirit gelding has a little class. Two wins and two placings from five starts, down to 55kg with Mark Zahra - each-way. R8 #7 AKAVAROUN – No reason why this gelding can’t go on with recent form, 4-4 and Michelle Payne stays on board. He can win from front or back, and barrier 6 gives him every opportunity. Expecting him to continue on his winning ways here. Best: R8 #7 Next best: R2 #1 Good punting
