Barry Finch was a veteran creative journeyman who burst upon the creative-scene in the sixties designing, painting and conceptualizing the visual language for such legendary clients as: The Beatles, Cream, The Mamas & the Papas, Bob Marley and Donovan, to name a few. Together with his wife/partner, #Yosha Finch, they have helped to build the corner stone of a visionary era. Their daring impressive phenomenal, potent-formula, launched a new meaning to the use of costumes, and set designs by stage and recording artists. And together their free-form’s vibrance stimulated the world in such a way that their designs visually inaugurated or introduced itself permanently into the public’s mind. And their life’s-work is now memorialized in the historic-images of the stars that they designed for. They expanded the brilliance of these star’s pop-culture influence that first started in London and in California, and then their designed images for these historically great stars spread throughout the world. Barry & Yosha’s designs have been seen repetitively for decades up to this day in film, and on the internet. And it all began for Barry and Yosha back in the tremendously visual nineteen-sixties. In this challenging new project Barry Finch’s imaginative talents have created a musical elixir. He has created a lyrical chemistry and has successfully managed to apply to his song: #THEREALTHING a special blend to it. Barry’s group’s tribute the family-song, features his voice doing the lead. And the musical group consist of: Nikki and Ashleigh Leeger, on backup vocals, with Mariska communing and exchanging scorching guitar lines and warm ballad tones with Danny Lademacher. Dirk Vermeij, Jolanda van Remundt and Ake Danielson provide the brilliant keyboard work, along with the (Chemistry Brothers), Miro & Zorco, who also arranged the strings, played additional guitar work, and added synthesizers to this age-old metaphorical theme; (“The Family”), and to what the word, “FAMILY,” truly means. In Barry’s own words, he describes their music as a refreshing message that is requesting a moment of reflection. In the words of the song, “The Real Thing,” he expresses the sentiment that so many of us can relate to: “There is no place like home being with family and friends.” Barry & Yosha’s children are now always with them in all that they do, and in all of their work at the (Yosha Fashion Company). Their children, Violet Dawn, Titus Blue, Scarlet Arrow Finch, (Painter/Designer), Jade Moon, Daniel Haze Finch, and Amber Rose Finch, (Designer), are all accomplished in their own right, and together they show the world that by sharing life and love as a family, they truly have: #THEREALTHING.
