DANKWAMBOs ADMINISTRATION: TAKING EDUCATION TO THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE LEVEL IN GOMBE STATE. Dankwambo administrations priorities of first education, second education and third education have indeed impacted tremendously and is still positively impacting towards the overall transformation of the state educational system. In just more than a quarter of decade of his administration, Dankwambos effort of not only renovating but constructing and reconstructing of schools at all levels including tertiary, coupled with recruitment of more qualified teachers in primary and secondary schools as well as provision of teaching aids and materials have greatly yielded the desired result. To further continue in that direction of taking education in Gombe State to the highest possible level, His Excellency Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo Have approved the sponsorship of about 300 students into various private Universities in Nigeria for undergraduate degree programs in critical areas of need of Gombe State such as MBBS, Nursing, Medical Laboratory, Mass Communication, Law and Engineering. The Ministry of Higher Education conducted screening Examination for about 700 candidates cutting across the state at Gombe State University Lecture Theatre on Saturday (today) 13th December, 2014. The screening examination was supervised and monitored by the Hon. Commissioner himself, Ministry of Higher Education, Dr Isah Muhammad Wade (Dallatun Yamaltu), Permanent Secretary of the same ministry Dr. Daniel Musa Mohammed mni and the Directors in the ministry of Higher Education; Student Affairs; Planning, Research and Statistics; Mrs Philomena Jabuwa, Mr Maxwell Wakaye and Mr Ayuba G. Alkali respectively. Director scholarship board, Alh. Abdulkadir Usman, was also there at the screening examination.
