DARSHANA TV is a news and features channel in Malayalam language and has a viewer base in GCC countries, Europe and Asia. According to an official survey, is available to more than 75 million people across these regions. DARSHANA TV got license from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting under the Govt of India on 21st June 2010 and officially inaugurated its corporate office and studio complex on 6th November 2010. Subsequently, after 14 months, on 1st January 2012, the channel was officially launched. Mr. Siddeek Faizee who is presently the Director and Chief Executive Officer was entrusted with the job of steering DARSHANA TV to its corporate objectives. DARSHANA TV has its corporate office in Nadakavu, Calicut in the state of Kerala and also bureaus at Cochin, Trivandrum and New Delhi in India. The channel also has its own studio complex and offices at Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE. In order to train and educate a new generation of visual media professionals, DARSHANA TV has well-equipped training facilities as well. Moreover, about 20% of the revenue generated is spent on its R&D center like the DARSHANA School of Media and Research at Calicut. The channel has benchmarked its quality standing, invested heavily in modern software, technical and broadcasting equipment. At the same time, it is trying to expand its relationships with the global media giants like Al-Jazeera, Qatar TV and BBC as technology and content partners to increase the quality and content of programs and professionalism of the people who run it. Over Rs 250 million was spent on enhancing infrastructure. The company has Honorable Panakad Sayed Sadikali Shihab Thangal as its Chairman and Mr. Ismael Kunju as its Managing Director. The company has a staff strength of 120 trained professionals in various divisions. Darshana TV is available in E-Vision on channel No. 732. MASK MEDIA is the official partner of DARSHANA TV in the GCC. We had telecasted special programs on the day of Eid and had won the maximum rating, as compared to other channels. According to our calculation, we have more than 2 Lakh viewers watching us daily. Although we are known as an Islamic channel, we are an absolute entertainer. From Middle East we have half an hour programs telecasted daily from 9 pm and soon this will be extended from 9 pm to 2 am. Darshana TV will be having a wide variety of programs telecasted from the Middle East including Musical chat shows, Interviews, Current Affairs programs, Political chat shows, Charity programs and also innovative programs to support people with inborn talents but need opportunities to express them.
