DASAM GRANTH - Chandi Charitar - p.219 ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤ ਬਿੰਦ ਭਏ ਇਕਠੇ ਬਰ ਚੰਡਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਕੋ ਘੇਰਿ ਲਇਓ ਹੈ ॥ स्रउनत बिंद भए इकठे बर चंडि प्रचंड को घेरि लइओ है ॥ Many Raktavijas have gathered together and with force and swiftness, they have besieged Chandi. ਚੰਡਿ ਅਉ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੋ ਦਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਇਓ ਹੈ ॥ चंडि अउ सिंघ दुहूं मिल कै सभ दैतन को दल मार दइओ है ॥ Both the goddess and the lion together have killed all these forces of demons. ਫੇਰਿ ਉਠੇ ਧੁਨਿ ਕੋ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੋ ਛੁਟਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਗਇਓ ਹੈ ॥ फेरि उठे धुनि को करि कै सुनि कै मुनि को छुटि धिआनु गइओ है ॥ The demons rose up again and produced such a loud voice which broke the contemplation of the sages. ਭੂਲ ਗਏ ਸੁਰ ਕੇ ਅਵਸਾਨ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਨ ਸ੍ਰਉਨਤ ਬਿੰਦ ਗਇਓ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੨॥ भूल गए सुर के अवसान गुमान न स्रउनत बिंद गइओ है ॥१६२॥ All the efforts of goddess were lost, but the pride of Raktavija was not decreased.162. ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥ दोहरा ॥ DOHRA ਰਕਤ ਬੀਜ ਸੋ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਇਉ ਕੀਨੋ ਬਰ ਜੁਧੁ ॥ रकत बीज सो चंडिका इउ कीनो बर जुधु ॥ In this way, Chandika foutht with raktavija ਅਗਨਤ ਭਏ ਦਾਨਵ ਤਬੈ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬਸਾਇਓ ਕੁ੍ਰਧੁ ॥੧੬੩॥ अगनत भए दानव तबै कछु न बसाइओ कु्रधु ॥१६३॥ The demons became innumerable and the ire of the goddess was fruitless. 163. ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ ॥ स्वैया ॥ SWAYYA ਪੇਖਿ ਦਸੋ ਦਿਸ ਤੇ ਬਹੁ ਦਾਨਵ ਚੰਡਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਤਚੀ ਅਖੀਆ ॥ पेखि दसो दिस ते बहु दानव चंडि प्रचंड तची अखीआ ॥ The eyes of powerful Chandi became red with rage on seeing many demons on all the ten directions. ਤਬ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਜੁ ਕਾਟ ਦਏ ਅਰ ਫੂਲ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਕੀ ਜਿਉਂ ਪਖੀਆ ॥ तब लै के क्रिपान जु काट दए अर फूल गुलाब की जिउं पखीआ ॥ She chopped with her sword all the enemies like the petals of roses. ਸ੍ਰਉਨ ਕੀ ਛੀਟ ਪਰੀ ਤਨ ਚੰਡਿ ਕੇ ਸੋ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵਿ ਨੇ ਲਖੀਆ॥ स्रउन की छीट परी तन चंडि के सो उपमा कवि ने लखीआ॥ One drop of blood fell on the body of the goddess, the poet hath imagined its comparison in this way; ਜਨੁ ਕੰਚਨ ਮੰਦਰ ਮੈ ਜਰੀਆ ਜਰਿ ਲਾਲ ਮਨੀ ਜੁ ਬਨਾ ਰਖੀਆ ॥੧੬੪॥ जनु कंचन मंदर मै जरीआ जरि लाल मनी जु बना रखीआ ॥१६४॥ In the temple of gold, the jeweler has got studded the red jewel in decoration.164. ਕੁ੍ਰਧ ਕੈ ਜੁਧ ਕਰਿਓ ਬਹੁ ਚੰਡਨ ਏਤੋ ਕਰਿਓ ਮਧ ਸੋ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥ कु्रध कै जुध करिओ बहु चंडन एतो करिओ मध सो अबिनासी ॥ With anger, Chandi fought a longg war, the like of which had earlier been foutht by Vishnu with the demons Madhu. ਦੈਤਨ ਕੇ ਬਧ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੋ ਨਿਜੁ ਭਾਲ ਤੇ ਜੁਆਲ ਕੀ ਲਾਟ ਨਿਕਾਸੀ ॥ दैतन के बध कारन को निजु भाल ते जुआल की लाट निकासी ॥ In order to destroy the demons, the goddess hath drawn forth the flame of fire from her forehead.
