DAVID SUZUKI: Interviewer: In Australia, environmentalists oppose population growth, arguing that natural resources do not stand. What do you think? "Oh, I think that Canada is full too!" Whilst the SPP rejects the use of the word "full", we sympathise with Mr Suzuki in the use of the word. Australia and Canada could certainly continue their respective and disastrous population growth, but it just means a lower level of wealth (i.e. natural resources that underpin our long-term economic wellbeing) per person. AUS and CAN would simply end up like Nigeria, Egypt, Pakistan, etc.
