DAY 1(10 JUNE) Spend some time in prayer inviting the Holy Spirit into your life.Recognize Him and honor Him in your prayer. Talk to Him as you would with your loved ones. Remember the Holy Spirit is a Gentle Person. 1. Thanksgiving (Psalms 100:4, Psalm 28:7,1 Chronicles 16:8, ) : Thank God for the breath of life and His grace that is still sustaining you and has taken you this far. Thank God for this prayer marathon that it arrived. Thank Him for His strength that is still working in you 2. Dedication (Psalms 37:4, 1 Peter 1:13, Romans 12:1-2 ): Dedicate yourselves to the Lord that He takes you throughout this prayer marathon; dedicate the entire program to the Lord that it operates with the heartbeat of God. 3. Prayer of sanctification (Isa. 53:5 ; Ga. 3:13; Ex. 30:17-21 Acts 5:3; John 8:44 ;1 Cor. 4:2) First. Pray, “Father, please make me righteous. I cannot be righteous by my own strength; it is only You who can sanctify me! Please forgive me for my unrighteous thoughts and judgments.” Second. Pray, “Father, make me honest.” The first crisis of the church was lying and deception. The apostle Peter said to the offender, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit. Selling his land and giving it to the church was a noble act, but lying about the amount was not acceptable. Ananias died because of this sin. Talking about the devil, Jesus said,“When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” As you start the day, ask the Lord to cleanse you from deceptions and lies. Third. Pray, “Father, make me faithful in every area of my life.” It is required that those who have been given a trust prove faithful. The Bible teaches that as Christians, we ought to engage in our work “not with eye service, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men. Pray that you will be faithful to the work God has given you to do today. Fourth. Pray, “Father, make me pure and holy.” Christians must lead a holy life. But it is neither automatic nor easy. Without relying on God, it is impossible. So you pray, “God, sanctify my acts and words so that I will live a pure and holy life.” And the apostle Paul warns us to “Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” Pray for purity and holiness; then go and live a pure and holy life. Fifth. Pray, “Father, give me the power to forgive and love.” It is extremely important to forgive all people. Jesus commanded people to forgive one another whenever they pray. If you do not forgive, the Bible says that you will not be forgiven. “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. On the cross our Lord Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” Fix your eyes on Jesus on that cross and pray to forgive all who have sinned against you. Sixth. Pray, “Father, make me meek and humble.” Unless you are meek and humble, you are likely to become proud and that’s where downhill journey begins. God hates pride ‘Pride is a spiritual cancer.’ With pride comes destruction. This is why you need to ask God for humility. There are two options. Either you humble yourself before God or He will humble you. Take the first option, or else you will be fighting God. “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Seventh. Pray, “Father, do not let me covet.” The Bible says that greed is idolatry. “Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” Pray to God that you will not commit the sin of idolatry.
