DAY 11 Verse: Romans 5:3-5 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. MY THOUGHTS-We can rejoice during times of struggles for we know it will develop endurance. That endurance will develop our character and strengthen our hope for salvation. The Hope of knowing God loves us and has given us the Holy Spirit to guide our hearts and minds. How does this apply to my life?-I can look back at my life and look at the struggles that shaped my life. Some of these struggles I still battle every day. But I know it is building my character to be more like Jesus. It is easy to rejoice when things are going good for us. but what happens when things start falling apart. That is when our true character shows. I had a good friend that was diagnosed with both stage 4 bone cancer and only had a short time to live. I remember how excited she was to be going to see her Lord!! She told me that she was going to miss her family but knowing she was going to see Jesus and He was going to take care of her brought joy to her life. She was so excited that everyone in the hospital soon knew her. Her husband pushed her around the hospital so she could tell people about Jesus. It is awesome to KNOW when you die you will be with JESUS!!!! Have you given your life over to Him??? If not do it today!! Join us Christ followers in KNOWING we will be with JESUS!!
