DAY 14: 40-day Prayer Challenge to Heal Our Land Guiding Challenge Scripture, Chronicles 7:14 - 14 If my people, among whom my Name is called upon, do humble themselves, and pray and seek my presence, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear in heaven and be merciful to their sin, and will heal their land (1599 Geneva Bible) Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 4:14-16 14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the Truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. PRAYER: GOD of Truth, we have been praying for You to Help us UNITE our fellow countrymen, women & children in Your Love, Truth & Freedom. Yesterday we prayed for You to unite us through Love and today we come before You asking for unity through Your Truth. You, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and Truth (Exodus 34:6) and all the paths of You Lord are lovingkindness and Truth to those who keep Your covenant and Your testimonies (Psalm 25:10). You, O Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your lovingkindness and Your Truth will continually preserve me. (Psalm 40:11) Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is Truth. (Psalm 119:142) We ask O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? And You answer: He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks Truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend (Psalm 15:1-3). O LORD, send out Your light and Your Truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling places. (Psalm 43:3) Through almost 200 verses in the Bible, You command us to always speak & live with Truth: • Only fear the Lord and serve Him in Truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. (I Samuel 12:24) • Do not let kindness and Truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. (Proverbs 3:3) • A Truthful witness saves lives, But he who utters lies is treacherous. (Proverbs 14:25) • These are the things which you should do: speak the Truth to one another; judge with Truth and judgment for peace in your gates. (Zechariah 8:16) • But he who practices the Truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” (John 3:21) • …let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and Truth. (1 John 3:18) • Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of Truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) • But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and Truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. (John 4:23) • Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of Truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens (Exodus 18:21) • …“If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will make you free.” (John 8:31-23) Nations who abide by Truth also receive Your blessings as proclaimed in Jeremiah 4:2 - ‘As the Lord lives,’ in Truth, in justice and in righteousness; Then the nations will bless themselves in Him, And in Him they will glory.” But You will unleash Your wrath on people & nations who do not live by Your Truth - For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the Truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18) Many of our nation’s leaders & people no longer speak the Truth. Most of the news media report lies & propaganda so lots of people have not heard & do not know the Truth. Help us turn the liars and the United States of America away from this evilness and back onto the path of the light of Truth. Thank You for the few leaders, reporters & media outlets like The Blaze, which do seek and tell people the Truth. Protect them and help their words get out to many more people than the liars’ deceit does. Bring forth more Truth tellers across the land. Help Americans find the Truth & share it with everyone they can via conversation, correspondence & social media. Thank you for the internet, which allows people to find & share the Truth themselves. We seek to shine Your light of Truth & bring others into it. Help us to speak, live & reveal Your Truth to everyone everywhere & at all times. May Your grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in Truth and love. (2 John 1:3) Amen
