DAY 15: LIFE OF MUHAMMAD (pbuh) AlhamduliLaah wa solat wa salaam ala RasuliLaah Muhammad was protected by Allah as he would commit sins usual & normal at his age, He narrated as a Shepherd, he attempt attending parties his peers would attend but suddenly fell asleep as he got to the party & woke up after the party has ended, he realized it is sign from Allah. Zaid ibn Harith his servant also said he never saluted any idol even before prophethood, he had a natural dislike & told his family not to do so, Ali ibn Talib never did so too because he was raised in the house of Muhammed. Muhammad said Allah has not sent a prophet that was not a shepherd. LESSONS FROM BEING SHEPHERD 1. Responsibilities- responsible for your herds, we all have responsibilities. Quran & Sunnah 2. Patience- dealing with sheep, we have to be patient in dealing with issues. Musa (a.s.w) was a shepherd for 10 years, Adam (a.s.w) for 950 years with no followers 3. Protection- protects the flocks from wolfs, beasts, diseases etc 4. Longview- knows of any imminent attack on the flocks 5. Simplicity- living a simple & normal life, luxury life 6. Closeness to the creation of Allah- brings us closer to nature & ponder over all what Allah has created. And why did Allaah choose shepherd of sheep & not camel etc, sheep are merciful, compassionate & weak animals who needs protection & can easily fall prey. RasuluLaah warned us about sticking with the Jama(group) because the wolf eat from the strayed sheep. We cant compare a sheep to the harshness of camel as well as their shepherds. These are just lessons which we can apply to various jobs or place of work. Remember: Personality affects profession & profession affects personality. Continue Tomorrow In Sha Allah
