DAY 2 OF THE SEIGE OF A PEACEFUL RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS, story so far: The Sullivans fell behind in mortgage payments, so they sensibly contacted their lender to arrange revised repayment plans. Seems sensible and rational enough. However, they took their loan out with START MORTGAGES. START MORTGAGES have a reputation for not negotiating a thing with distressed borrowers. In fact they would go to the extremity of ignoring you. This is of course against the old code of conduct AND the new revised codes. The first communication that START MORTGAGES made with the Sullivans was to send repossession orders to them. Yep, you heard me right! Not even a summons in the post to enable them to attend court and state their case. Then to top all of that ABUSE, the guards got heavy handed with the supporters on the boundary to the Sullivans home, in their attempt to enter the property. When AET members refused to be intimidated, the gaurds threatened to arrest them. This is the Sullivans story so far this week. START MORTGAGES MUST BE STOOD UP TO. The Sherrif and gaurds also must be stood up to. Otherwise next time it could very well be you or one of yours. No one is immune from unemployment and the consequences of it.... Social Welfare is fairly none existent and this family will be deemed by SW, HSE and Council as making themselves homeless. Not one of these three bodies will consider that the Sullivans rights have been trashed and trampled upon. ARE WE REALLY GOING TO ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN??
