DAY 20 : The PUJA Back at my kaka’s there was a puja in the evening. I actually forgot what the puja was called but it was for my dad and kaka, two brothers – but because I was in gau, kaka jumped at the chance of putting me in the place of my dad. Now that meant, I had to sit there next to the dhami, look interested, hold a bhaley kukhura, throw water here and there and wait for it – hold a bow and arrow and a “gauley sword” and dance like crazy. Well I guess I was dancing in rhythm. It was just a very amusing experience, one that I do not wish to repeat again. Kaki was saying “stay for another few days and we’ll do another puja then you can leave”, I was like “it’s okay, baru ma baba’lai nai UK bata pathaii dinchu”. I am done.
