DAY 24 MARCH 2014 Theme: THE WORDS OF JEREMIAH END HERE. [JEREMIAH 51:64 GNB]. King Zedekiahs personal attendant was Seraiah, the son of Neriah and grandson of Mahseiah. In the fourth year that Zedekiah was king of Judah, Seraiah was going to Babylonia with him, and I gave him some instructions. I wrote in a book an account of all the destruction that would come on Babylonia, as well as all these other things about Babylonia. I told Seraiah, when you get to Babylon, be sure to read aloud to the people everything that is written here. Then pray, LORD, you have said that you would destroy this place, so that there would be no living creature in it, neither man nor animal, and it would be like a desert for ever. Seraiah, when you finish reading this book to the people, then tie it to a stone and throw it into the River Euphrates, and say, This is what will happen to Babylonia- it will sink and never rise again, because of the destruction that the LORD is going to bring on it. The words of Jeremiah are ended here. [JEREMIAH 51:59-64 GNB]. Every prophecy that Yahweh has truly given is a prayer waiting to be answered at some future date, sooner or later; every prayer that is truly directed to Yahweh is a declaration of prophecy! By Prayer and the Word of God, we also shall surely, finally, win the battle against the spiritual hosts of wickedness that continually assail us and besiege our land in their visible and invisible battle array! And, verily, this teaching is no strange teaching, for by the Spirits power, it is at the heart of the instructions the prophet gave to the Kings Personal Attendant [the PA] who had equally been taken captive! The Prophet reached that point in ministry where the Scribe and the rest of his disciples could look back, amidst the very happenings of the time, and say, the words of the Prophet end here! Where will your own words be ended? When? The Prophet had been sounding the alarm to his beloved people of Judah and to their rulers in Jerusalem; a foreign nation gets its forces ready, marches on speedily without a trace, takes the entire world by storm, leaves destruction on its trail for everyone that still rebel against the Most High and casts abroad a net of captivity in which all the sinful, defiant nations [the very same things that are happening these days as a prelude to an Anti-Christ rule]. Yahweh Himself leads to safety [on that Captivity train] only the disciples, the few who had hearkened to the message the Prophet brought and had put all their trust in Yahweh! Shall it be any different in this place and age? Will the Son of Man find faith among the Sons and Daughters of Men at his return? But the Prophet is not done just now; his words are not yet ended. He looks back at the cruel and arrogant nation that haunts his people unto destruction and tells what horrible fate would befall it according to the very measure of its deeds, and only now are his words ended; only now is his heart also at rest! The Prophet is fulfilled in his ministry, finally, and goes to his rest in the hope of the coming Messiah and the resurrection!
