DAY 25 – Be a warrior Today we will do a variation of the Warrior I pose. If someone asked me which yoga pose is the one I am struggling with the most, I would say this one, so I had to learn to work on its variations/modifications and hopefully one day I will get to the correct and proper full pose. Our bodies are different, you may find the same pose the easiest... the beauty of yoga :) Step 1: Start from Mountain Pose and step with the feet wide apart. Left foot is turned around 45 degrees inwards, the right one is turned 90 degrees outwards. Ideally heels are aligned with each other but the ones with lower back pain or struggling with balancing poses can go wider here. Step 2: Put your hands on your waist. The legs are strong, the muscles are engaged, upper body and hips are turning to the right and make sure that your hips are on the same level. Step 3: Bring your attention to the back heel and try to reach reach down with it, in this way you are straightening more your back leg. Always make sure that your hips are in level and are facing to the side. This pose is about constantly checking every bits and pieces and making conscious micro-movements and mico-adjustments.It is like constantly scanning your body up and down, down and up. Legs are strong and straight, hips are at the same level, chest is open etc. Step 4: Lift your chestbone and if you feel you are hungry for more challenge, lift your arms and reach up with them. Gaze forward and try to breath deeply and evenly, dont lose your breath. Your neck is the natural extension of your spine. Step 5: Dont forget to repeat the pose to the other side. Do you feel stronger? youtube/watch?v=8d4JpBF_aHY
