DAY 28 #ACROVINYASA December Back Plank - Spotting BASE: From Boat, keep your feet on flyers hips, toes on lower back and legs at 90. Focus on finding stillness to provide a stable platform. Keep your feet soft and receptive. As flyer starts extending at the hips to come down to Back Plank, start relaxing your toes and ankles to provide a flat platform. As an option for extra spotting support, extend your arms ready to catch flyers shoulders. FLYER: From Boat, start extending your knees and hips whilst pressing arms and hands tightly against thighs/side body. Slowly lower yourself downwards and focus on drawing the lower ribs towards the hips creating a strong hollow through the torso. Gaze towards your feet and breathe deeply. Communicate with your base, if you need more/less ankle and toe point in order to find stability. SPOTTER: Stand alongside flyer in a comfortable but alert stance. As flyer transitions, place one hand underneath flyers upper thighs and the other on flyers upper back. Check for alignment, be the voice of communication and bring flyer and base back into balance when necessary.
