DAY #7 Patiece, Perseverence, Faith.....alll three noble concepts....all three are concepts that are not easily obtained by just willing them into existence...all three...are developed over long periods of time ...and usually at teh expence of tremendous times of hardship... As wil all of you...I have had my great share of ups and downs.....times of deseret living where barely enough water is avaiulable to get by day to day....and the only morstles are metaphoricaql dry crusts of stale bread... it is during thsi times that all three concepts are put to teh test as far as they pertain to my life.... in the midst of trials..... Do I have patience? Do I have Perseverence? Do I have Faith? each one of those questions have slapped me in the face repeatedly....and when I saw that I was depleted in amounts of all three...Sometimes...a message of hope would come along....and present me with a challange I was forced to deal with head on.... from what I can tell...Faith ...is the greatest of these...because without faith in a better tomorrow or outcome...you will lack patience during the boring waiting perods....and you will lack perseeverance during the tumultous times of trials.. The next scene Im presenting...is from a film called "Facing the Giants"....Im not a fan of overly preachy christian movies...as I find the premises, to be a bit contrived...dialogue and acting to be somewhat stiff...and the presentation of the poisitive message not presented in realistic scenarios... That being said...This film does suffer from those issues i point out above....BUT!!!...in the context of this film....and as a stand alone parable.....the message presented in this scene about what iut means to live by faith, patience and perseverance...Is pretty solid..... The set up...in this scene...is That A High School football coach is struggling through a rough season of life...a terrible footbal season. fertility issues with him and his wife, mounting bills....and sever stress...and a parent of one of teh former students comes to visit him in his office. Enjoy....and let me know your thoughts if you are going through times of testing where you are faced with the question..." which farmer are you?" youtube/watch?v=WAxwS8KyMQQ
