DAY 7 – Relax Relaxing is going to be a re-occuring theme during the whole challenge series as it is extremely important. I believe that we need to give ourselves the luxury to spend enough time with it. I scheduled it for every Sunday throughout the challenge, cause in the western culture this is normally the day off, the time we usually spend at home and with preparing ourselves for the next crazy-busy week. So lets re-charge ourselves with a restorative yoga pose like we would do with our smartphones. Step 1: Find your peaceful spot for todays exercise with a free approx. 1m long wall space available for you. Step 2: Lie down on your back and bring your buttocks as close to the wall as you can (ideally they are touching). Step 3: Extend your legs onto the wall with ankles touching and feel that you have created a beautiful reverse letter L from your body (you might feel a nice stretch already on the back of your legs – but if you dont, go and flex your feet). Lower back pain, very tight legs in the back? You may bend you knees slightly and separate the feet to hip distance and/or place a pillow under your bottom and extend the leg from there. Step 4: Now look at your lower back and try to relax it completely, open your chest and put your arms slightly above the head with the palms facing up. Step 5: Here is the pose... so there is nothing more or less left than to breath and let everything go from the week. I suggest you to hold this pose as long as it feels good for you, for some of us it is more comfortable, for some of us its less, but one thing is common: this is YOUR moment!
