DAY 8 26/01/2014 Scripture reading: Exodus 15-16 Focus: God our Provider - Verse to remember: For the pagans run after all these things (food, clothes etc), and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:32-33) I love the verse above as it assures me the generosity of God when we put our priorities right, he is building a kingdom that is characterized by righteousness. We can therefore commit to seek the expansion of that kingdom and he will do for us what he did for Israel. He is a provider who quenches our thirst and gives us our daily food. He did this for Israel when they were in the desert, turning bitter waters into sweet water, manna and quails from heaven. He can do it for you if you put your trust in him. Pray for the following: • Reflect on how the Lord has delivered you and provided for you through hard times and just thank him. • Pray for any needs that you may have that God will lead you to the right places where you can receive his provision
