DAY FIFTEEN IRAQ, MIDDLE EAST In Iraq, the bloodshed increases month by month. United Nations envoy Martin Kobler said, "I once again urge all Iraqi leaders to do everything possible to protect Iraqi civilians. It is their responsibility to stop the bloodshed now." Many view the situation in Iraq as political impasse, but at its core it is a religious battle between Shiite Islam and Sunni Islam. Pray that both sides see that the solution to their struggle is found only in the Lord Jesus Christ (The Bible, Ephesians 6:12). SRI LANKA, SOUTH ASIA Christian Aid Mission (CAM) said, “Sri Lankan Christians are facing problems. Buddhist groups are working against Christians.” In March, Buddhist priests told five Churches to stop holding services and threatened them. Praise God that no Christian Believer was harmed or killed. Pray for peace and reconciliation between Buddhists, Christian Believers, and Muslims. Pray for Christian Believers to live in harmony with one another. Pray for the Buddhist monks to turn from Buddhism and believe in Jesus Christ (The Bible, 2 Corinthians 13:11).
