DAY FOUR: O God, You chose Pope Pius XII, angelic Pastor, universal Teacher and common Father, as Successor of the Apostle Peter and Servant of the Servants of God. Driven by the charity of Christ Our Lord and desiring the exaltation of His Kingdom, he joined sound teaching, lofty and divine, to an active apostolate that in times of war and uncertainty touched the individual souls and the countless masses. Now that he has passed into your kingdom of light and peace, we treasure his example and beseech him to strengthen with his intercession our prayer: Bless, O God, our homes, our families, our priests, the poor, the suffering, the children; ...
