DC Budgam visits Khansahib, Beerwah & Budgam: BUDGAM, MARCH 21: Dy. Commission, Budgam, Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Shah accompanied by Additional Dy. Commission visited various areas of Budgam district and took stock of the damage caused due to recent heavy snowfall to residential houses of the district. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Tehsildar of each area to assess the damage caused and submit the report so that the affected families would be provided necessary compensation. Later, Deputy Commissioner interacted with several public deputations and listened particularly to the demands which include the compensation for the damage caused to orchards by snowfall. The Deputy Commissioner assured the deputationists that their problems will be sympathetically considered for extending relief. The Dy. Commissioner during his visit inspected several health institutions and checked the attendance of the officials. Several employees were found absent from duty and accordingly Deputy Commissioner directed Chief Medical Officer Budgam to take disciplinary action against the absentees.
