DC Comics Solicitations September 2011 - Flashpoint Aftermath DC Comics solicitations for August 2011 were recently released revealing some substantial changes to the DC Universe following the events of Flashpoint. The final issue of Flashpoint ships the last day of August as well as all of the tie-ins associated to the series. However majority of the DC Universe current story arcs comes to a close in August as well paving the way for a One Year Later style event to welcome new comic readers. FLASHPOINT - FLASHPOINT #5 will be released on August 31 which will be the only title shipped at DC Comics for that particular week. - FLASHPOINT: BATMAN – KNIGHT OF VENGEANCE reveals the identity of the Joker and his dark connection to the Wayne family. - FLASHPOINT: SECRET SEVEN is betrayed by one of their own and Shade the Changing Man must figure out who it is before it is too late. - FLASHPOINT: ABIN SUR – THE GREEN LANTERN survives the fatal crash however faces both Sinestro and the Guardians of Oa. - FLASHPOINT: THE WORLD OF FLASHPOINT introduces Traci 13 as she tries to save the world. - FLASHPOINT: EMPEROR AQUAMAN loses his beloved wife Mera and faces the Amazons in the final battle. - FLASHPOINT: DEATHSTROKE AND THE CURSE OF THE RAVAGER follows the pirate as he searches for his lost treasure and daughter. - FLASHPOINT: FRANKENSTEIN AND THE CREATURES OF THE UNKNOWN searches for their maker so they can find the cure to their afflictions before monster hunter Miranda Shrieve finds and kills them along with her army of robots. - FLASHPOINT: CITIZEN COLD takes on the Rogues as his darkest secret is exposed. - FLASHPOINT: WONDER WOMAN AND THE FURIES avenge the death of their Queen Hippolyta as the secrets of her death are revealed. - FLASHPOINT: DEADMAN AND THE FLYING GRAYSONS follows them as they join the Resistance. - FLASHPOINT: LEGION OF DOOM targets the President and mounts a jail break as Animal Man and Cyborg stand in their way. - FLASHPOINT: LOIS LANE AND THE RESISTANCE meets the leader Brittania as she tries to take back England as Lois reveal the Amazons secret. - FLASHPOINT: THE OUTSIDER faces both the ruler of Kahndaq Black Adam and his greatest enemy Martian Manhunter. - FLASHPOINT: KID FLASH LOST follows Hot Pursuit as he searches for Bart Allen through time. - FLASHPOINT: PROJECT SUPERMAN follows the experiments conducted on the Kal-El and the identity behind Project Superman leading to a face-off between Subject Zero and Subject One. - FLASHPOINT: HAL JORDAN delivers the bomb known as Green Arrow to defeat the Amazons. GREEN LANTERN - War of the Green Lanterns Aftermath concludes with a new Green Lantern of Sector 2814. SUPERMAN - THE REIGN OF THE DOOMSDAYS comes to a close as Superman takes on the Doomslayer. - SUPERMANS Grounded arc nears its close in Seattle as Superman faces the mysterious woman who has been following him all year. - SUPERMAN/BATMAN arc concludes as the Joker stands to be the mastermind behind the troubles plaguing the Worlds Finest. BATMAN - BATMAN INCORPORATED follows Bruce Wayne assembling his army to take on the Leviathan as his identity is about to be revealed. - BATMAN follows Dick Grayson as he reaches an impasse with his various identities. - DETECTIVE COMICS concludes the duo run of Scott Snyder and Jock. - BATMAN: GATES OF GOTHAM concludes with the downfall of a major Gotham family and the betrayal of Damian Wayne. DC COMICS - BRIGHTEST DAY AFTERMATH: THE SEARCH FOR SWAMP THING follows John Constantine as he finds the dark motives behind Swamp Thing. - JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA follows the aftermath of the events of Eclipso Rising. - WONDER WOMAN concludes J.Michael Straczynski Odyssey arc as she goes behind the malevolent force behind it all. - ADVENTURE COMICS presents the freshman class of the Legion Academy entering its final battle against the Cosmic King. - LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES presentsthe finale of the battle with the Legion of Super-Villains as one Legionnaire makes the ultimate sacrifice. - GREEN ARROW enters the explosive finale between Oliver Queen and the Reverend Billy Miggs and his followers who are wearing hi-tech battle suits. - SECRET SIX will never be the same as Bane plans comes to fruition. - T.H.U.N.D.E.R. AGENTS faces their final stand against The Iron Maiden. - TEEN TITANS faces both Superboy Prime and the Legion of Doom as the series its 100th issue - TITANS finale closes the Methuselah Imperative story arc with both Deathstroke and Arsenal battling for the leadership of the team. - XOMBI follows an early Fringe episode where David Kim needs to stop someone who can predict the future and plans for every eventuality. Back in 2006 DC Comics followed Infinite Crisis with One Year Later which involved jumping one year into the future within all of its books. The missing year was filled with a weekly limited series called 52. Now five years later we may welcome some weekly event or bi-weekly event similar to 52, Countdown to Final Crisis, and Brightest Day.
