DC Ganderbal reviews arrangements for celebration of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr GANDERBAL, AUGUST 03: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal convened a meeting of different officers to review the arrangements being made for the celebrations of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr. Officers from different deptts like Revenue, UDD, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, CAPD, Transport, Food Safety and representatives from Traders Union Ganderbal and Transport Agencies alsoparticipated in the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal directed Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Ganderbal to maintain cleanliness in and around the Eidgahs, mosques and markets in the district besides making functional the defunct street lights from Duderhama to Beehama. Deputy Commissioner also informed the traders union that dust bins shall be provided to the shopkeepers so that they maintain cleanliness in and around their shops. Electric Department was directed to maintain uninterrupted power supply on Shab-e-Qadr. Market checking squads headed by Tehsildarswere directed to intensify market checking. They were also advised to take along representativesfrom the Traders Union during market checking. It was also decided that any person having any complaint regarding the rates and quality of items beingsold in the market can contact Assistant Director CAPD Ganderbal during office hours on the contact number9419182181, Tehsildar Kangan 9858066606, Tehsildar Ganderbal 9419013788 and Tehsildar Lar 8803403461. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Tehsildars to liaise with the civil society and ensure that their problems are redressed. It was also decided in the meeting that Fisheries Department shall set up 4 sale outlets of Trout and Carp, one each at Mamer, Margund and mobile van at Ganderbal and Lar during the festival. the public on this account. Mean while the Traders Union on the occasion assured the meeting that 5 percent discount shall be offered by the traders on all the items.
