DEAL DONE!! Finally..... Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Roberto Soldado from Valencia, subject to a medical. Spurs have been heavily linked with a moved for the Spanish striker, who scored 24 goals in La Liga last season and had a £25.8m release clause in his Valencia contract. A Tottenham statement read: “We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Valencia for the transfer of Roberto Soldado subject to medical.” The Spain international has 11 caps to his name and is the scorer of six goals for his country, with his most recent appearances coming in the Confederations Cup in Brazil in June. Speaking last week, Spurs boss André Villa-Boas was full of praise for the 28-year-old forward. “He is a quality player, he has done well at Valencia for the last few seasons,” said Villas-Boas on Friday. “He has had a good education from the Real Madrid school and he is a player which we are interested in adding.”
