*DEAL OF THE CENTURY* (Lol) Found this little gem at Walmart last night in the reduced isle, red-tagged for $49.88. However since there was no regular price on the shelf tag to compare it with I became skeptical. I got the asst manager to look up the regular price and sure enough, no difference! Long story short, he marked it down to $40.00 for me. The aluminum one I currently use came from Walmart several years ago for about $30.00 but the mount is very sloppy and the controls make for very difficult fine tuning. The new one on the other hand has a very snug, cork lined mount and the controls make for some very smooth, accurate and easy fine tuning. Ive never really looked into higher end pro quality tripods, but I just thought Id post in case anyone else is in the market for a decent tripod. Its very adequate for a shlub like me with a point and shoot! Lol
