DEAR ALL, HOW TO AVOID FRAUDSTERS ************************* I know most of US have fallen prey to fraudsters posing as SELLERS/potential BUYERS, Please ENSURE : 1) SECURITY : If you are selling an Item please ,do not allow someone to come into your house, make the necessary arrangements and meet in a Public Place like a Shopping Mall , If this item is a bulky commodity like a Fridge please organize with Security (local police) , A lady in Ngong invited people to her house to view her furniture and then they robbed her valuables.. 2) RECEIPT : If you are buying something from anyone , please it is important that you obtain the original receipt of the Item being Purchased, and a copy of his ID card , this mostly applies to electronics devices as someone was arrested with a phone whose owner was a foreigner actually shot dead in Mombasa 3) DON’T SEND MONEY IN ADVANCE: Don’t Send money in advance before purchasing the actual item, some post very sleek items and then they inbox you telling you that the item is on high demand and stock may run out, they insist on MPESA ,please IGNORE such, 4) FAKE TITLE DEEDS : yeah this is actually a very BIG business in Kenya, Sellers use the common phrase TITLE DEED ready !!! , the best way to do this is to go through a SEARCH with the L/R No written on any title and the ID copy of the seller , at the Ministry In charge of lands , housing and planning 5) LOG BOOK , When selling your Car , please do not carry the ORIGINAL docs with you , (this is the CAR) , they pose as serious buyers and ensure you have the Logbook, KRA pin and your ID copy in the Car , after this they Request for a TEST drive and Off they go , once this is done anyone can change ownership of the Vehicle , Carry photocopies and release the Original after you transact . ALL THE BEST PEOPLE ..HAPPY SELLING / BUYING ..STAY SAFE ..
