DEAR DAVID MWOLE KIMAIYO: Your 4-year tenure as the Inspector - TopicsExpress

DEAR DAVID MWOLE KIMAIYO: Your 4-year tenure as the Inspector General is non-renewable. In the unlikely event that you have forgotten, you are not permanent there. And you will not take the office to your home. The question is, what will you be remembered for? Will your name be remembered for your power struggle with Mr Kavuludi? Will it be your lack of concern over the welfare of your officers? Your warning to officers to quit social media? Your spectacles and speech impediment? Or your threats to Mohammed Ali and John Allan Namu? You are a man of more threats and less action. Drunk with power. It is during your tenure that the terrorists made a mockery of our security by raiding Westgate. What followed next was a mockery of our intelligence by your colleagues giving the world all sorts of contradictory statements. But what is absurd is the summons to the two journalists to appear before the C.I.D. At what point did they become the terrorists? Or it is a burning mattress approach to diverting attention to the real issue? In your competence and wisdom you have decided to pursue journalists instead of terrorists. Duh! Need I remind you that cctv cameras are private property and their owners are at liberty to do with them whatever they want to including sharing the footages with the press. Which is why Citizen, K24, KTN and Nation all had those clips. Again in your wisdom, Moha and Namu are the terrorists? Sadly, you are stuck in the dictatorial era where you think that you OWN everything in Kenya. Why dont you summon the KDF soldiers caught on camera stealing water? Why dont you issue summons to the terrorists? Why dont you pursue the kidnappers who have been killing or demanding ransom in Muranga? Why dont you pursue the bandits in Baragoi who ambushed your officers? Until today have you recovered any of the rifles stolen during the massacre? Why dont you issue summons to the killers of clerics in Mombasa? Why cant your investigators look into allegations of fraud in the Judiciary? How many people have your officers charged with post-election violence? What happened to Mutula Kilonzo, George Saitoti, Orwa Ojode? Who or what caused the electric fault at the JKIA? You get the picture. Tuachishe. Focus on criminals and other bigger stuff. Or apply for a job at KTN to be reading news. You seem to love the cameras so much.
