DEAR GOD MY FATHER, I have dreamed of achieving many things in this lifetime. As I look back on the years that have already passed, I see two things: First, Im not where I expected to be and second, Im not as close to You as I think I should be. I dont want to look back ten years from now and find myself saying the same things all over again. So Ive decided to give You all of me, Father God, and surrender my will to Your sovereign will. Please take complete control of my life. Our Father, we are thankful for Jeremiah 29:11, our hope that You have good plans for us, not plans to hurt us. You have plans for us to go from one success to the next. We thank You for Philippians 1:6, our confidence that You are always working to perfect in us the work that You began and to transform us into the image and likeness of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Oh, how we love Your promises. Not only is it truth, but it is Your spoken Word and it must come to pass. Break our hearts with Your refining fire that we may live Your sovereign plan to our fullest. You know the selfish nature of our hearts and yet You assured us in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that Your grace is all we need and Your power works best our weakness. We promise to study Your Word and pray each day, expecting that Your grace will change in our lives. We praise You and thank You in the powerful name of Jesus, the name that changes lives. Amen.
