DEBATE : Is it a man’s world? There are good and bad bosses regardless of gender. Having worked for men and women bosses at various stages in my career, I feel the gender of the boss is completely immaterial in this time and age. If I extrapolate my experience of men and women bosses and generalize by gender, it will most likely be sweeping and wrong. The fact is that there are good and bad bosses regardless of gender. I found my women bosses to be nurturing, patient, practical, balanced, good at multi-tasking and of higher emotional intelligence. In contrast, the men were pushy, driven and competitive. Both men and women bosses were equally visionary, focused, analytical, decisive, articulate and tech savvy. At the risk of sticking my neck out a bit, I have found that male bosses have a larger ego - they find it difficult to accept their mistakes and say ‘sorry’. Read More... humancapitalonline
