DEC 21, 70 Years Ago After the launch and withdrawal of the Ezell Task Force, that went into the town of Bastogne, and had to come back the same day, during which the city was apparently fully encircled by the German army, CCB was totally reunited in the vicinity north of Neufchateau, i.e. Nives, Vaux-les-Rosières. Since CCA was totally blocked at the destroyed bridge of Martelange along the N4, CCB received the order to immediately leave the bivouac area around Nives, and drive south towards Léglise. Then the road continued to Behème, through the very dense Fôret dAnlier, Fauvillers, Hotte and Menufontaine. That drive would take a long time, but there was no fighting. That started only when 8TB / 10AIB reached Burnon on the 22nd of December (the short video - please click on HD - was made last weekend between Bizory and Foy at the Band of Brothers monument - the weather situation was almost similar like on Dec 21st but then it was extremely cold)
