DECLARATION OF ECONOMIC SOVEREIGNTY WHEREAS, the presently on-going deterioration of the quality of life of Filipinos has reached unbearable and deplorable conditions caisung starvation, disease and death among major segments of the population; WHEREAS, the present conditions are a result of faulty economic policies of incompetent and corrupt political leadership whose only real program is depopulation and privatization of all public utilities, infrastructure, hospitals, transportation, energy and water- increasing the cost of living to levels where life can no longer be sustained; WHEREAS, the three (3) main branches of government, its agencies and departments, police and military assets, and main stream media, have conspired to intimidate, suppress, confuse and corrupt the general public from airing their grievances, blatantly usurping their rights to suffrage, and terrorizing the public during rallies and demonstrations through brutal and violent means; WHEREAS, the present political leadership through unconstitutional means, has managed to take control of the Judiciary and the Legislative, leaving no other branch of government to which people can seek redress; WHEREAS, the ‘pork barrel’ system and other dubious means of sourcing funds, have been publicly considered as ‘institutionalized corruption’, the principal method acquiring allegiance of congressmen and senators; WHEREAS, the Supreme Court, has been terrorized by the President, his accomplices in the Legislature and mainstream media in a highly controversial move which led to the impeachment of the Chief Justice, who was immediately replaced by a more acquiescent justice; WHEREAS, the stage has now been prepared for the most treasonous act of all, to be committed by all members of the three branches of government and their cohorts in private sector, to surrender our country to extraneous interests by changing the provisions in the Philippine Constitution under the guise of ‘economic reforms’; WHEREAS, the sovereign will of the people shall again be suppressed and ignored by the legislators in forming themselves as a constituents assembly to unilaterally change constitutional provisions which limit foreign ownership to 40% in strategic industries to 100% in all industries; WHEREAS, the present administration has abdicated its role as protector of the welfare of all Filipinos, by selling out government-owned interest to the private sector whose primary motive is profit and not the common good- and that the PPP (Public Private Partnership) is a betrayal of the Filipino people, its Patrimony, and integrity as a Sovereign Nation; NOW, THEREFORE, WE, the members of the Solidarity for Sovereignty, in association will all patriots of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby declares that: The Philippine economy shall be organized primarily for the benefit of the Filipino people; All government officials who promote extraneous interests at the expense and detriment of national interest should be charged with treason and betrayal of public trust; Leadership in government, business, and the academe, using agencies and institutions who willfully and maliciously cause the destruction of lives of the Filipino people through legislated or non-legislated means of depopulation are guilty of genocide and crimes against humanity; The such leadership who fail to recognize the on-going disintegration of the world’s financial system, and failure to prepare our economy and the population of its impending disastrous effects to save Filipino lives, are extremely incompetent, guilty of gross and criminal negligence of the highest degree; We call on all sectors of society to reject any and all forms of usurpation. Reject any and all methods to mislead the general public. Reject any and all means to intimidate Filipino to from seeking redress. Reject any and all leaders who misrepresent our demands for a better quality of life. Reject any and all policies which are genocidal, leading to destruction of our patrimony; We are sovereign people of the Philippine Republic, human beings created in the image and likeness of God, as such, endowed with inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
