DECORUM IN DRESSING Nudity has become the order of the day. Human beings are losing sense of shame and good manners in dressing and adornments. It has become fashionable for many youths these days to dress immodestly, The females flagrantly expose their bodies. They glory in their shame. Jumpers, topless, backless, mini-skirts, female ‘shirts’; slacks are the modern dress codes. As a believer, you are not of the world, and you must not look like the people of the world. You should glorify God in your appearance. The essence of dressing is for you to cover your nakedness; hence any exposure of delicate parts of your body defeats the purpose of dressing. You should be meek, modest and moderate in your appearance. The commandment of God is: “And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness…(Exodus 28 42)” “ that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear…(Revelation 3:18)” You must dress to cover your nakedness and edify people around you. Glorify God in your looks. Do not follow the way of multitude.
