Respected Sir / Madam, This refers to Complaint IRDA Token Number: 10-13-010160 in line with JEEVAN MADHUR Policy brought before us By Howrah Municipal Corporation as Corporate Agent belonging to LIC, Micro-Insurance. This grievance was slated to be redressed by 25th of this Month but most unfortunately nothing matured fruitful in reality till date. I tried to contact over phone and email but authority remained silent in this regard endangering thousands of investors to get highly deprived at Maturity point. It makes us sad to inform you about the following injustices bestowed over the poorest of poor people. Life Insurance Corporation of India, Micro-Insurance Dept., West Bengal is trying to persuade these victims to get further exploited rather not bringing to light the evil activities of their corporate Agent, Howrah Municipal Corporation. Once again, We take this opportunity to bring before you their irregular activities as follows with expectation that common poorest of poor people survives with your kind intervention. THE MISAPPROPRIATION OF FUND: A Sample Account, Policy number 427510812, belonging to me results that the Premium Amount collected from Investor has not been deposited to LIC. Telephonic discussion, one of the undersigned had with Team Manager, LICI Micro-Insurance on 15th October, 2013 revealed that a paltry Rs 2800/- only got deposited to LIC where as the balance Rs. 1300/- is yet to be traced. I earnestly requested a written statement from authority by email or letter format, whatever suitable, highlighting the Misappropriation of Public Money but Authority preferred to remain silent and inactive. Also be informed that another 10/12 victims handed over me their documents sighting relief against such fraud but partial attitude on part of LIC authority is all set to jeopardize the claim of poorest of poor people unless intervened by you immediately. Similar Fraud in the same scheme was dealt by LICI, Micro-Insurance Dept., Belur Karnataka on June 2103 in a legitimate way but here everything seems to be a Hide and Seek game only duping Common poor people. It makes us feel sad to point out that no preventive measure could be adopted in preserving the interest of poorest people. thehindu/todays-paper/tp-national/tp-karnataka/three-held-on-charge-of-cheating-rural-investors/article4809281.ece DIFFERENCE IN AGREEMENT: Present confusion or crisis made me go through the documents applicable, which reflects a sharp contrast between concerned Deposit Card and Certificate as observed by us as follows: DEPOSIT CARD (Issued to me at inception point) 1) SUM ASSURED : Rs. 7200/- 2) Commencement : 28th October, 2008 3) Last Premium Payment Scheduled : 28th September, 2013 4) Tenure of Payment : 5 Years 5) Payment Term: Monthly @Rs 100/- per month. CERTIFICATE(Reached us after 6th January, 2009) A. SUM ASSURED : Rs. 5026/- B. Commencement : 28th October, 2008 C. Last Premium Payment Scheduled : 28th September, 2013 D. Tenure of Payment : 5 Years E. Payment Term: Monthly @Rs 100/- per month. Thus a sharp contrast is in evidence for SUM ASSURED figure herein. The Deposit Card, handed over to every investor at inception point, is having a lucrative offer( Rs 7200/- against Deposit of Rs 6000/-) in comparison to Certificate issued, reached us after around 3 months as evident from Stamped date herein. NON-COLLECTION OF PREMIUM: In the midway of this scheme around September 2011 reluctance from Municipal Corporation Collectors in collecting premium was clearly in evidence. We tried tooth and nail to deposit premiums through collectors but ultimately we had to contain with 41 months deposit instead of scheduled 60 months as evident from signatures endorsed in the concerned Deposit Card attached. DELAYED PAYMENT FINE: Poorest of poor was also penalized with Delayed payment fine @Rs. 5/- per month per premium amount(Rs. 100/-) throughout the tenure but verbal conversation with LIC authority revealed that none such were advised by them. But documented we can prove that Fine got accrued and imposed by collectors for each and every delay. The question hereto comes to one’s mind is that how a poorly performed fund where return value is poorest can impose such inhuman penalization and that too from poorest of people. Under these horrible circumstances, we earnestly beg your mercy to intervene immediately in saving these poorest of poor people. Otherwise another financial extortion & exploitation is all set to ruin our entire society in these dreaded economic scenario evident in nation today. The Maturity point has already been reached in most cases and a few is nearing Maturity and thus everyone owning this scheme is supposed to get exploited with multiple blows as detailed above.
