DEFENDING YOUR HOPE IN CHRIST. God gives us the opportunity to serve and be a light to others. We need to respond to this opportunity by adequately studying the Scriptures to be fully equipped for the task. Christians have to be ready and willing at all times to defend the hope that is in us. The Scriptures are very clear on this; Please hear Gods word: 1 Peter 3:15; But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. This is a charge to be carried out with humbleness but effectively. Defend your faith. You may be persecuted or insulted but always remember who you are; a child of God, and so never repay evil with evil, or insults with insults, but with a blessing; 1 Peter 3:9. Do not be troubled by fear or lack of wisdom; ask God, and His Holy Spirit will help you. May the Lord grant us more opportunities to share His Love, in Jesus name, amen.
