Meaning, the vets that we celebrate once or twice a year, or whenever politically advantageous; are the same vets who have to worry about benefits etc. when they are now retired or more expendable or too old & weak to defend themselves from the much younger,newer military personnel. or , consider the many laid off, retired, or ill public servants ( [privatesectorpuppets] & they aint even know it), who were officers etc. who are fearful of their pensions & their families futures.
