DELAY IN OCCUPANCY OF NEW FIRST YEAR RESIDENCE Due to construction delays we have to unfortunately postpone the excitement of moving into the new residence building. This means that there will be a slight change in the accommodation arrangements for first year students of this residence. These arrangements are as follows: • during their first week on campus (16 - 23 January 2015) students will be accommodated in separate sections of the two neighboring residences, ConLaurês and Outeniqua; • confirmation of the exact room in which each student will stay will be sent through to you; and • on Friday, 23 January 2015 students will be relocated, with the assistance of the University, to the new residence building. We have made all the necessary arrangements to ensure a positive and exciting first year experience to each student. The university wishes to express its sincerest apology for any inconvenience caused by this alteration. We also commit ourselves throughout this process to uphold the safety and security of our students. Please note that special information sessions for students/parents/guardians in this regard have been arranged for 14:00 in the following venues on: • Friday, 16 January 2015, Genmin Lectorum; and • Saturday, 17 January 2015, Auditorium of the Education Building (next to ConLaurês residence).
